Hi there,

As some of you have noticed there was a small update this month (let's hope a big one will follow soon). In Google Play it just says bug fixes, but I noticed one little change that was done now: The door layout on most Boeing 767s.

For those who don't know, the Boeing 767-300 came with three different door configurations:

1. Two standard doors and two overwing emergency exits on each side.

2. Four standard doors on each side, no overwing exits

3. Three standard doors and one overwing exits on each side.

Liveries that came along with version 2 are untouched, but all version 1s have now been switched to version 3s in UATC (even though this was the least popular configuration IRL and most of the airlines affected never actually operated it).

Why did the devs do this? The game will treat the 767 like most widebodies, meaning it's gonna be boarded through the 1L and 2L doors (and only 2L at Gran Canaria since this airport doesn't have double jetbridges). This was problematic however, since most 767s don't even have a 2L door, meaning the jetbridge would connect to a random spot on the fuselage and passengers will be required to cut it open to board. This issue is now fixed, with door configuration 1 being deleted.

I personally very much welcome this change, the good ol' 767 now looks okay at the gate again (and has therefore been allowed back into my airports). The more realistic solution would've been to just change the jetbridge behavior on the 767s, since even those that have a 2L door rarely use it for boarding (though I've also seen the A321's 2L door being used for this before IRL, so I suppose it could be worse), but that would've probably taken more effort, while a large update is being worked on anyhow. Let's see what the future brings
