Hi there,
I figured to maybe try to get some activity in here, so let's just start. What kind of ideas would ya'll have to improve Unlimited ATC? Maybe the devs will show up again eventually, so some productive advice could be worth something in the end.
Now, my ideas. First of all, there are a few major errors in the game that need to be fixed. Fortunately this should be rather easy to do.
1. Every (widebody capable) airport except Gran Canaria has this problem: The runway and taxiway signs are too close to the taxiways, meaning that the outer engines of quadjets will be incredibly close to them. In the case of the A380, the engine will even clip through the signs. This takes away a lot of realism and should be corrected.
2. Boeing 767. I love the 767, but unfortunately there is one thing keeping me from actually activating them at any airport: The jetbridge connects to the wrong door. I still remember that in older versions of the game every aircraft would use the 1L door for boarding, even widebodies on which this isn't common practice. Eventually it was changed to the 2L door for more realism, but unfortunately the devs oversaw that the B767 is this one widebody aircraft, on which the rule does not apply. Now we have the jetbridges connecting to the non-boarding door on the 767, which bugs me personally a lot. It's especially ridiculous on those 767s that don't even have a 2L door (there were 3 different door layouts for the Boeing 767-300, 2 of which are in the game), meaning that the jetbridge just smooches a random fuselage part.
Now one thing that's not quite an error, but should really still be changed: airplanes in this game are often being incredibly slow when crossing or leaving runways. This is pretty annoying and partly even unrealistic (nobody would ever be this slow on the angled high speed runway exits) and just causes avoidable stress for the player, as airplanes get much closer to each other than they need to.
Welp, that's it from me for now. Does anybody else have any ideas?
